|Platform for Collective Effort|
The goal of the Tutor/Mentor Institute, LLC and the Tutor/Mentor Connection is to help volunteer-based tutor/mentor programs grow in all high poverty neighborhoods of Chicago, and in other cities, so more stories like this will be seen in future years. Visit this page to see a description of the "platform for social problem solving" being created by Tutor/Mentor Institute, LLC and to use PAY PAL to help us make this resource more available to those who want to help inner city kids in 2012 and beyond.
From 1992 to 2011 more than 1,000 donors sent contributions of $10 to $5,000 each year to support the "local-global" strategy described on this web site.
As of June 30, 2011 the "global" strategy is of the T/MC is no longer part of the Cabrini Connections non-profit organization. Dan Bassill has created Tutor/Mentor Institute, LLC (Limited Liability Corporation) to continue to grow the Tutor/Mentor Connection in Chicago to support the growth of similar intermediary organizations in other urban areas. Take a look at this concept map to see the work being done and that can be done if investors, donors, volunteers and partners can be found.
Your contributions of talent, time, and dollars are needed today to ensure this strategy continues in 2012 and beyond.
