This presentation shows Dan Bassill's 30-year history of reaching out to universities in Chicago and beyond in an effort to involve universities in long-term projects which benefit the university because they provide unique teaching, learning, publishing opportunities using real-world issues, and they expand the minds and bodies Cabrini Connections-Tutor/Mentor Connection could being to bear on its mission of educating inner-city children through afterschool tutor, mentor and learning programs.
Warning: This is a long presentation, with many links to an extensive library of documents that show work done by universities along with correspondence that led to these engagements. Recruit one, or more, students at your college, university, even high school, to dig into this information as part of an independent study project, or an advanced degree program. Let them be the path finders who lead others to this information.
