From the website: "Hope Chicago is a scholarship-focused non-profit designed to provide students and their parents/guardians with the support they need to graduate from college debt-free."  In 2022 the first 5 high schools were chosen and all students, and some parents, from each of these schools were promised full funding for college at selected Illinois colleges.  The Kalamazoo Promise program was looked at as a model for Hope Chicago.

"Academics Are Intellectual Entrepreneurs" by David L. Hildebrand, assistant professor of philosophy at the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences. The editorial was included in the June 2005 issue of Peer Review, a quarterly briefing from the American Association of Colleges and Universities. This piece discusses the role and value of academic community engagement and "how universities are--and can increasingly become--forces for social good."
